About this event
The U.S. Paella Championship and Miami Seafood Festival take over Tropical Park on Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31, 2027, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM both days. Modeled on the World Paella Championship in Sueca, Valencia, the contest puts 15 elite teams in front of a live audience, judged blind by a five member panel on a 100 point scale covering rice, flavor, texture, appearance, technique and authenticity. Organizers expect more than 10,000 attendees, 200 vendors, 100 chefs and 11 featured areas including Wines of Spain, live chef demos, a flamenco stage, a seafood market and a VIP lounge.

Two days, Saturday January 30 and Sunday January 31, 2027, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, Miami local time (Eastern). Competition times are fixed: Rising Chef Competition Saturday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, U.S. Paella Championship Saturday 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Freestyle Competition Sunday 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Each competition runs two hours, followed by the awards ceremony. The judging panel is announced in January.
Admission
All ages. There are no refunds on this event, which is stricter than most Miami festivals, so buyers should be certain before they book. Competition paella is served to judges first, then VIP guests and All Included ticket holders, so a general admission ticket does not guarantee a taste of the competition dishes. Accessibility requests, including accessible format materials or a sign language interpreter, require seven days notice at 305-812-7626.
