AdmissionIncluded with zoo admission at no extra charge. Day admission is 25.95 dollars plus tax for adults 13 and up and 21.95 dollars plus tax for children 3 to 12. As of October 1, 2026 admission rises to 30 dollars including tax for adults and 26 dollars including tax for children. Children 2 and under are free, zoo members are free, and parking is free.

About this event

Bugtopia turns Zoo Miami into a comic book universe where insects are the heroes. A team of 13 colossal animatronic superhero bugs plus 2 photo op stations line an immersive walk through trail that runs from June 27 through October 31, 2026. Kids and adults learn how real insects protect and support South Florida ecosystems while posing with bugs many times their own size. The experience is included with regular zoo admission, so you can pair it with the rest of the zoo's 2,000 animals and 375 species in a single visit.

Schedule

Runs daily from June 27 through October 31, 2026. Zoo hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day, with the last ticket sold at 4:00 PM. The zoo closes early at 4:00 PM, last ticket at 3:00 PM, on October 3 and October 17 to prepare for night events, so plan around those two days. Zoo Miami is open every day of the year.

Admission

All ages, no separate ticket required. Prices shown before October 1 do not include the 7 percent local sales tax. No refunds and no rainchecks, so check the forecast before you go. Some animals may be off habitat for health or exhibit work, and you can call 305-251-0400 to check on a specific animal before visiting.
